What is Money Smart Week? The Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago started Money Smart Week® in 2002 to help consumers manage their personal finances better. It offers free financial education events to the public.
Money Smart Week events are open to the public at businesses, financial institutions, schools, libraries, nonprofits and government agencies throughout the country on topics including kids and money, unemployment, managing student debt and retirement. Where is Money Smart Week? While Money Smart Week started in Chicago, today it has expanded to across the country.
