Sound the alarm! Up to 40 million customers credit cards and debit cards may have been hacked at Target. If you’ve shopped at Target (in the store) from Black Friday through December 15th, 2013 your account may have been compromised.
Apparently this issue is only for customers who shopped in a Target store, not online. If that’s you, check your account pronto! And monitor your debit and credit card accounts for any fraudulent activity. Be sure to change your passwords immediately.
Some credit card companies were already aware of the security issue.
I shop at Target and I’ve already received a new Discover credit card in the mail. Discover notified me that my account may have been compromised. I love Discover’s fraud department, they are always at the forefront of problems like this. Thanks Discover!!!

Keep in mind these types of security issues could happen at any retailer. That’s why you have to protect yourself and review your credit card and bank account statements every month.
